Pattie Welsh
Owner & Director

My name is Pattie Welsh, and I started as Owner and Director of my first school, Rhyme Tyme, in 1973, located in Campbell, Ohio and have been the Director of Hitchcock Woods for over 30 yrs. I started as the Director of Hitchcock Woods in 1983, and became the Owner of the Center in 1984. I am married to my high school sweetheart, Tom Welsh, and we are proud parents of two grown children Stacey Welsh Parsons and Ryan Welsh. I have also owned & directed the Lincoln Learning Center located in Salem, Ohio since 1991. When I began this journey in 1973, my sole purpose was to help children enjoy learning by helping them to find their own learning style. I hope that we can instill confidence in each and every child so that they can continue to move comfortably to their next level of life and learning. With confidence they can accomplish great things! It’s not what you know, but what you do with what you know.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Olivia Donchess
Administrator

My name is Olivia Donchess and I have worked at Hitchcock Woods since August 2022. I am married to my husband, Seth, and we together we have a son, Elliott. I started in the preschool room as the assistant teacher, moved up to lead teacher and then became the administrator! I have a background in the medical field and multiple years of experience working in childcare. I have loved growing with the center and watching my own child's development flourish during his time at Hitchcock Woods. I hope you stop by and see why we really are your child's home away from home.

MaryAnn McFadden

Kindergarten Teacher

 

Hi! My name is MaryAnn McFadden. I am the Intermediate and Kindergarten teacher here at Hitchcock Woods. I have been teaching here since 2007. I enjoy teaching the Kindergarten class developed for the 4 & 5 year-old pre-school classes. I have my Bachelor of Science degree in Education from YSU. I live in New Middletown, Ohio. I have two children: Lauren and Ryan. In my spare time, I enjoy reading and attending all my children’s sporting events.
