Kindergarten January Newsletter

Happy New Year! I hope everyone enjoyed the holidays. I can’t believe it’s 2018 already! I would like to take this opportunity to thank all the parents who donated items for our gingerbread houses and holiday party. Your generosity is greatly appreciated.

We will be working on the letters Dd, Ff, Hh, Ww, and Ee this month. The children continue to practice writing these letters in their letter books.

We have been working on the numbers 1-20. We will continue working on number formation. We also have been doing addition problems!

In Science, we will talk about ice and snow. We will discuss how ice and snow are formed.

In Social Studies, we will learn about Martin Luther King Jr. We will read stories and discuss his contribution to American society.

There will be No School on Monday, January 15th in honor of Martin Luther King Jr. Day. Daycare will available that day if you need it.

We will be having an eye screening on Wednesday, January 17th for the Pre-K and Kindergarten classes.

The children will be receiving their report cards this month. Please check the Parent Bulletin Board for Parent-Teacher Conferences.

Please remember that we follow the Boardman Local Schools. If they are closed for a snow day, so are we. (Daycare is still available however). If they are on a 2 Hour Delay, we are too. Our class would then be from 10:30-2:00. You would have to pack your child a lunch on this day.

If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact me at any time.

Thank you,

Miss MaryAnn
