Kindergarten March Newsletter

It’s March already and we have a lot going on this month!

In honor of Dr. Seuss’s birthday, Literacy Week will be held Feb.26th March 2nd. Each day will be filled with fun activities. A paper detailing these activities has been sent home last week.

During Language Arts, the letters Qq, Yy, and Kk will be explored.

During our Math sessions, the children will continue to work on number recognition and formation, addition, and subtraction.

In Science, spring and weather will be discussed.

In Social Studies, the chidren will learn about St. Patrick’s Day and Easter.

We will be having a fundraiser this month. Beginning March 1st, we will be selling pepperoni rolls from That’s A Wrap Café. The cost of each roll will be $2.00. All orders and money are due by Friday, March 16th. Please make checks out to Hitchcock Woods.

There will be No Class on Friday, March 9th. Daycare will be available for those who may need it.

We will be celebrating St. Patrick’s Day on Friday, March 16th. We will be making leprechaun traps to try and catch that tricky leprechaun!

The Easter Party will be held on Thursday, March 29th. This will be our last day of classes before spring break. Spring break will begin on Friday, March 30th- Sunday, April 8th. Classes resume on Monday, April 9th.
