Kindergarten April Newsletter

I hope everyone had a nice Easter holiday! Thank you to all the parents who donated items for our Easter egg hunt/party. I truly appreciate your kindness.

Classes resume on Monday, April 9th. We will also be receiving a visit from the librarian that day at 9:30 a.m..

In Language Arts, we will begin our reading/writing books, journals, sight word dictionaries, and short stories.

In Science, we will explore how plants grow, Earth Day, and recycling.

In Social Studies, we will discuss famous explorers.

In math, we will work on adition and subtraction.

The children will be receiving their report cards later this month. They will need to know how to write their numbers 0-20. They will also need to know how to write their upper case and lower case letters. It is also important for them to know their birthday, phone number, and address.

We will be going outside for recess, so please make sure your child is dressed accordingly. It is still chilly in the morning when we go out, so please send a jacket. Tennis shoes are best for the playground since there is mulch.

If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact me.

Thank you,

Miss MaryAnn
